I am added my voice to the masses!
Please take note of this issue and sort it out!
This is terrifically annoying. I shouldn't have to open itunes store so I can use a 3rd party application!Macbook 13 inch, Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 14, 2009 2:02 PM (in response to William Brawley)Folks, your anguish and frustrating is shared, BUT shouting at Apple from these forums won't have any impact or effect on Apple. As I said in my previous post We need to bombard their support department with support calls.iMac intel 24", 2009 Model, Snow Leopard, Mac OS X (10.6)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 14, 2009 2:06 PM (in response to felibb)Great well done Felibb, we need more people complaining to Apple please.
Its interesting that those of us that call Apple get told "we know nothing about this problem, your the first etc. etc"
Yeah right.iMac intel 24", 2009 Model, Snow Leopard, Mac OS X (10.6)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 14, 2009 2:07 PM (in response to poddster)Where to complain?.....I rang the Apple technical support helpline shown on their "contact us " page on the Apple website.iMac intel 24", 2009 Model, Snow Leopard, Mac OS X (10.6)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 15, 2009 5:48 AM (in response to William Brawley)Having the same issue. If this is indeed the intended behaviour, then it's horrible. We want this changed!iMac 2006, 2Gb RAM
Currently Being ModeratedOct 15, 2009 6:40 AM (in response to Rvn)At the risk of sounding like a broken record...so did you complain to Apple?
Apple wont hear or act on your complaints on this forum.
WE MUST ALL RAISE THIS FORMALLY WITH APPLE!!!!iMac intel 24", 2009 Model, Snow Leopard, Mac OS X (10.6)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 17, 2009 6:35 AM (in response to biskitwheels)Any fix for this? At the moment I have to have iTunes Store open while running Ecoute, which kinda defeats the purpose.
If this is intentional, THEN SCREW YOU APPLE!Macbook 13" 2.0ghz 2gb RAM 120gb HDD, Mac OS X (10.6)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 18, 2009 8:56 PM (in response to matthewlowery)This really ticks me off. I can't believe Apple ever suggested that this is a "feature".
Snow Leopard has been a disaster for me, I've been following this idiotic release cleaning up these types of messes since I installed the ** thing. When I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard it was brilliant, there were bugs yes, but not these kinds of issues.
Apple is really making a case for me to go back to a Linux/Windows dualboot setup. I bought this configuration to alleviate issues, not complicate and engorge my troubles.iMac 24" 2.4GHz 2GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 19, 2009 6:23 AM (in response to William Brawley)i've not read through the whole forum so am not sure if this solution i found has already been commented.

Currently Being ModeratedOct 20, 2009 10:20 AM (in response to William Brawley)Anyone notice the new aluminum Apple Remote that was released today? Wonder if this one is "broken" also?

Currently Being ModeratedOct 24, 2009 1:08 AM (in response to William Brawley)I am another mac user that thinks this so called 'feature' needs a fix. I use other players for encoded videos. You should be forced to use iTunes for everything. I even use iTunes for my music, but this needs to be fixed. I want to be able to press the play button for other stuff. Add me to the list of unhappy customers of Snow Leopard OS update.MacBook 13.3inch, Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 24, 2009 5:15 AM (in response to sinickal)so you've formally complained to Apple then? remember; they don't read this forum. You need to raise it as a support issue for them to actually take notice of your complaintiMac intel 24", 2009 Model, Snow Leopard, Mac OS X (10.6)
