I am able to receive and accept invitations, but am unable to "add attendees" to a calendar event in ical. I feel like I am 90% there, just need someone to help with ical settings.

i have exactly the same problem.
when i choose invitee and want to check availability, its name is suddenly grey. as well as my name (as a organizer). then i am not able to send the invitation. exchange calendar goes offline.
i am able to delete that event and the invitee is getting the cancelation request !!!

The handling of invites in general is incredibly flawed. My colleagues can send invite replies back to me that don't get processed at all (yes, I have the box in Mail ticked) - from iCal!

The worst part is, there's no way to manually update the status of invitees, so I'm stuck with pen and paper. AU$4000 notebook computer and I have to use paper...

    Lame Apple!
