Your information is not sufficient enough to provide help.

What happens if you try to send? Is there an error popping up, if so, what does it say?

Have you changed any settings in the network setup in system preferences, especially firewall settings?

when I try to send I get the following message

+Cannot send message using the server Skynet+

+The sender address was rejected by the server relay.skynet.be.+

+Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.+

I have the same server settings on Entourage and it works
none of the network settings were changed or firewall settings
the problem started after upgrading to snow leopard

    problem meanwhile solved
the ISP gives relay.skynet.be as smtp and it works with MS Entourage and it used to work with Mail before upgrading to snow leopard
I tried instead smtp.skynet.be in Mail and it worked now. this doesn't work with entourage !!!
