Hi all.
I've just replaced my 2 week old i5 iMac due to problems with flickering and blacking out (as described in this post: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2212682&tstart=0), which was also a 46week batch. I have just got home, set up my replacement (same specs, but a week 48 batch one this time) and started to install FCS. On inserting the 2nd disk, a sparking noise started coming from my DVD drive, finder froze, the disk ejected itself and was covered in scratches. Has anyone else been having any problems with the DVD drives scratching disks? Anyone know if there's something I can do about it or if I am able to claim a replacement CD off Apple (My FCS is only 2 weeks old and I really can't afford to purchase it again). I'm kinda annoyed as all i've had is problems using the iMac i5. Any suggestions or comments on what to do would be very, very helpful
