Q: Logic Pro will not launch

Hello everyone. I just tried launching my Logic Pro application and a window popped up that said:

This version of Logic Pro requires Pro Application Support 4.0 (687.0) or newer.
ProKit: 589.0

I'm currently using Logic Pro 8.0.2 I've tried updating and now I'm wondering if I should just uninstall and reinstall? If so, I'm wondering how to approach the task? Thanks for the input take care.

Try this : [Pro Kit 4.5|http://support.apple.com/downloads/ProKit45]

or this if on Leopard : [Pro Kit 5.0|http://support.apple.com/kb/DL863]

You could also click on the apple symbol on the top left of your screen and select *Software Update* the Applications Pro Kit required for your system should be there for downloading.....

Hey Man that worked like a champ all my programs are launching now. Thank you so much for helping me out. Santa Clause will definitely be dropping down your chimney this year. Really though, thank you so much this forum and the people on it is such an invaluable resource. Merry Christmas

Hey I accidentally installed the wrong ProKit update which was 5.0. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to help me trash that update and update the proper ProKit update which on my operating system would be 4.5?

One other thing that is interesting, is that I launch Soundtrack Pro not sure if you guys use it or not but all the loops and samples are highlighted red not sure what that would mean in FCP it means that the files are off line but as far as Soundtrack not sure what it means and what to do to fix it. Thanks
