Currently Being ModeratedFeb 5, 2010 7:41 AM (in response to scottnl)To get this to work what I've done to both of the aTV's we have is Open iTunes, go to preferences, Go to aTV in the toolbar and remove the aTV from the box. Now go to your aTV, Go to menu, Go to Settings, Go to Computers, Click on the linked computer and hit continue. This will unlink and delete all your data.*
Unplug the aTV, wait 60 seconds and then plug it back in. Now go in to the aTV and Go to menu, Go to Settings, Go to Computers and click on the link and put the number in your iTunes. To do this go to your Computer, Open iTunes, Click on your aTV under devices (you should see set up in grey letters next to the device), and put the number from your television into your computer. Let it sync.
*If all of the data is not on your computer, when you add your aTV back you should get Purchased, Purchased from aTV (or whatever you have it named, if you don't name it the same thing you should see the old aTV name here) and also any other devices you have that purchase from the iTunes store (phones or iTouches). By renaming your aTV you will not have to deal with any of the old damaged preferences that caused the problem to begin with.
I hope this helps. To many to mention, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
