imovie transitions???????

ok, i bought a mac and i thought it did everything in the world, but y can i not do random transitions in imovie????? i have about 300 pics for our church new years eve banquet, and i dont want to do them individually......please help, very frustrated..............

    In iMovie 9 you can change all the transitions at once.
    But it sounds like you want a variety of different transitions.
    That's considered an amateur approach to movie making so I think Mac did not include that function.
    The movie industry considers multiple different transitions to be distracting from the movie.
    What I do is set the theme at the beginning of making the movie (or slide show) and then go back and pop in a few different ones where they might make sense.
    Like location changes etc.
