i recently downloaded a program called smc fan control, this program allows you to control the fan speed inside your mac. i downloaded this program fearing my computer was getting to hot while using the 9600m graphics card, however i learned that my computer monitors itself and will control the fan speed by itself so there is no need for this program. When i tried uninstalling it i believe my computer wasnt controlling the fans and the computer got way hotter than usual.

i want to unistall this program and know that my computer is controlling my fans again
Please help!

From the FAQ supplied in the SMC fan control download:

How do install and uninstall smcFanControl?

smcFanControl is just an application. So after downloading, and unzipping it, drag it to wherever you
want (e.g. the Application Folder). To uninstall it, just drag it into the trash. smcFanControl installs
no permanent background processes or daemons.

All changes smcFanControl does to the fan controlling get lost after you shutdown your computer
(power off, not restart) or enter standby mode (as far as you don't have smcFanControl running) .
Minimum fan speed then falls back to the system defaults values.
