After I installed Snow Leopard, I could no longer open WMV or JPG attachments within my received emails. I must first move them to my desktop, then open them with Quick Time Player 7 or Preview respectively. Quick Time Player v. 10.0 is useless.

I'm dealing with the exact same issue - When opening attachments in Preview, I only see a grey screen, and am forced to save the files to the desktop or folder to open them and actually see the image/file.

I am having the same problem. I can not open attachments within the e-mail itself but can drag the attachment to the desktop and it will open fine but that is a pain and I want to know how to fix the problem so that I can just click and open from the e-mail.

Same problem here. It order to see attached jpg and wmv I have to save them someplace on the mac, then double click to open.

WMV will play on Quicktime 10 that way, and jpg will open in Preview.

I love my new iMac, but pine for 10.4.11 where everything seemed to work.
