Hello:

We were having issues with iTunes U for the past 1 to 2 weeks being slow/unresponsive and Apple told me that they were tweaking some things on the backend and later yesterday it speed accessing/creating/modifying podcast was much faster.

But, recently when I login as admin or anybody logs in our private content is missing and all we see if our public content.

Any suggestions?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

    FYI:

This has been fixed. Since Apple moved our (and others) sites to another back of server we ran into a time drift issue in-between our backend server and Apple server(s) that broke our credentials. The content was there, only users logging into our iTunes U site where getting public credentials and only seeing our public content.

We fixed it by using the same time server on our backend server that Apple is using on their iTunes U servers.

That would be my generalized recommendation for all sites (for what my suggestions are worth ). I look at it this way…it's not so much a matter of who's got the correct time, it's more a matter of whether Apple and I agree about time. Since I can't mess with Apple's servers, I always use Apple as a time source for iTunes U. That way if Apple is wrong, I'm wrong just as much and iTunes U keeps troopin' along.
