Currently Being ModeratedAug 28, 2009 9:33 AM (in response to MrCrabby)Are you also syncing direct with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac via the iTunes sync process in addition to syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with your MobileMe account?
If so, this is why you have duplicates. MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.53GHz/4GB RAM/500GB HD, Mac OS X (10.5.8), iPod w/Video 30GB, iPhone 3G 16GB
Currently Being ModeratedAug 28, 2009 9:34 AM (in response to MrCrabby)I used to have that problem with mine and here is how I solved it. First, delete your contacts and calendars that are Mobile Me related on the iPhone. Next, create a unique contact on your phone that you don't have on your mobile me contacts, such as John Doe with a 111-111-1111 phone number. Next create a new contact that you didn't have on your mobile me calendar, such as "event: make mobile me work correctly from 12:00pm to 1:00pm." Now sync your phone with mobile me and when you hit sync it should give you the option to "merge contacts and calendars" or replace contacts and calendars. By clicking merge, this solved my problem of duplication. You can go back and delete the fake event and contact after merging. Hope this helps.Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), iPhone 3g 8gb

When I look at my mobileme sync preferences I do not see my iPhone as a registered computer so how do I sync it with mobile me? I seem to have done this nonethless as I have duplicate calendars one from my mac and one from mobileme.mac Mini, Mac OS X (10.5.8), iPhone 3GS 16mb

Currently Being ModeratedFeb 11, 2010 11:11 AM (in response to nickers1)didn't sync correctly for me either... it just kept trying to merge which created even more dups. I wiped out my iphone option as well but nothing... i ended up loosing everything on my addressbook. what a nightmare! all of my computers sync fine it's just iphone that has the dups. I will just have to live with it or use google like the others have mentioned. what a PAIN!macbook pro; imac 24, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
