    Hi,

I've tried repairing permissions, new library and the various work arounds with no success. The new library worked but as soon as I switched to the original one, aperture disappeared from the media browser. So apart from standing on my head I've reached a dead end, as the update has not resolved anything.

So if anyone can suggest anything else please put me out of my misery.

    Cheers.

Each library has its own XML file that lists what contents should be shared with the other apps via the media browser. You need to regenerate the XML with 3.0.1 for each library. You can force the gen by making a new preview or rating or importing/deleting.
Can you try that and let us know if things work after that.

OK, after repairing permissions and rebooting, it is now working.

I upgraded to 3.0.1 regenerated some previews, rebooted several times and yet no luck on the media browser. I am wondering if this might have to do with not having upgraded to iLife 09. I am still running on iLife'08 apps. Any thoughts?

Standing on ones head has done the trick!

When transferring my Iphoto library one event did not fully transfer. It is not until now that I've had a chance to investigate and resolve. I have now done this having found a corrupt photo. As soon as I deleted this, yes you've guessed it aperture has appeared in the browser and has stayed there.

    Hi,

Although there was preview picture, when you tried to enlarge it there was no substance.

    Repairing permissions did not work.

Turning Faces off did not work.

    This DID work:

I created a new library by selecting >file, >>switch to library, >>>other, selected New Library. Then Quit Aperture (have to do this because it did not take until I quit). Restarted Aperture and switched back to my normal library.

Access to my Aperture library in the Media Browser came back right away. Desktop Background also returned. I had to restart the Mac to get the Screen Saver to come back.

This work for me for the newly created library, but when I come back to my original one, Aperture still not available in the media browser.

Tried deleting the previews and regenerate them, no help either.

Toggling faces is of no help either.

Someone was talking about an XML file. How do we get this file to be regenerated from scratch?

Did you quit Aperture after you created the new library, restart and then switch back to your original? Found that I had to quit in order for it to work.

    Hello Together,

update 3.0.1 works fine, now the complete pictures are available at other media browser, including faces at Ap3.

Seems that this problem is solved.
