I've been battling this issues for a few days now. I've restored profiles, Wiped the iPhone and finally upgraded to 3.1 (with lots of hassle) and finally I fixed my issue. I don't think it was the upgrade either!

I noticed each time I accessed my calendar on the iPhone. The phone would delete all entries and then add them all back again. About 40% of meetings were missing and I couldn't find a pattern with the missing events. In the end I think the problem is that one of the calendar events had an error. Each time the iPhone read this event it cause the iPhone to recycle all the calendar events.

OK for my solution I set the Calendar to sync events only 2 weeks back: Settings -> Mail, Contacts... -> second last option on the bottom of the page. After that everything worked great. If that doesn't work try looking into events that reoccur or events that were added by a delegate. Also look for events that have special characters in the subject! Outlook 2003 and 2007 has filters that can help in grouping events together.

Well I hope this helps someone. Best of luck.

Thanks, This fix worked for me, I changed the historic sync from 1 month to 2 weeks and the missing appointments reappeared. I could then change it back to 1 month and the items remained however I have kept it at 2 weeks to hopefully reduce the likleyhood of a recurance.

Even after an upgrade to 3.1, I'm still missing appts. The one today was one that I setup.

Why can't the iPhone read the same calendar that Outlook does, that OWA does, or that Entourage does?

Has anyone found a solution to the sync issues with Exchange calendar?

I have tried all of the suggestions including 3.1 firmware, only sync 2 weeks, turning calendar sync off then on again, editing the missing entry via Outlook. I am still missing some calendar entries even some that I initiate/schedule.

All iPhone/Exhange users (25+) in my organization are complaining of calendar sync issues. It is very frustrating and to the point where we are considering a switch to Blackberry with a BES server.

We are currently iPhone 3.01/3.1, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003/2007.

Also experiencing this with iPhone 3.01/3.1, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003/2007.

We have 125 iPhones in our environment. Approximately 100 of those switched to the 3GS from a BlackBerry curve being used on our BES. The 200 BlackBerry users we still have are happy. The iPhone users...not so much.

Interesting that we didn't experience this version on 2.x of the iPhone OS. Was hoping for a consistent fix with the 3.1 update but we are still having the issue.

We have seen this problem for over a year. Very intermittent, difficult to replicate. My workaround when I look at my phone and think "Hey, don't I have another meeting this afternoon?" is to turn off calendar syncing, and turn it back on. This forces everything to be repopulated, and viola! my afternoon meeting appears. Unfortunately, iPhone users in my organization cannot count on their iPhones to have an accurate calendar.

I have been having the same syncing problem since installing 3.0.1. I am syncing over-the-air, not from iTunes. The problem seems to occur with reoccurring calendar entries that were accepted on Outlook (desktop). They sometimes do not appear or disappear from the iPhone calendar. This is the simplest workaround I have found.

    1. Open the entry in Outlook using open the series option.
    2. Forward the entry to yourself.
    3. When the alert appears on the iPhone accept it.

This will cause the entry to reappear on the iPhone and also be accepted in Outlook. Done. I plan on accepting entries on the iPhone only until a fix is issued.

Seems like a lot of people are having calendar issues. Well, let me add one more issue to this to see if anyone has any answers.

Our Admin is a delegate for three Executives -two have Blacberry's, one has the Iphone. We are using MS Outlook 2007 with Exchange Server 2003. We have tested using MS Outlook 2003 with Exchange Server 2003 as well and have the same issue.

When the Admin creates meetings, the meetings don't show up on the Executives calendar (the one with the Iphone) right away. The meetings eventually show up, but it takes anywhere between 30 seconds to 4 hours. This only happens to the Exec with the IPhone. The meetings post within 5 seconds for the other two Execs that have the Blackberry's. The Admin has all the calendars open and is able to see the meetings get posted (or in this case, not get posted on the one calendar). The Admin is not happy and wants us to fix this. When the delays take a long time to post, she really gets mad. We have checked various discussion boards, posts, google, yahoo but so far, can't find anything.

The Exec with the IPhone will not use a Blackberry, period. We support Blackberry's but recently had to start supporting IPhones. And now, we have these issues.

Hope someone can offer some assistance.

We're having this issue as well. But the problem is that it's not consistent. Most users who have the iPhone aren't reporting any issues. One user, I've wiped out his Exchange/Active Sync profile on the phone twice now. Yet, no matter what, If a meeting is accepted on the iPhone, it DOES NOT show up in his Entourage calendar (connected to our Exchange 2007 SP2 server). I'm at a loss here.

Looks like one of my clients is running into the same issue. I will post more when I get better details.

Thank you for all of the workarounds I will definitely try them. Anybody have an idea what's going on?

Our company is also having Calendar issues with the iPhone. This happens with iPhone 3G and 3GS. Randomly appointments do not show up on the iPhone. They are always meeting requests that have been accepted either in Outlook or Entourage. It doesn't seem to make a difference which platform accepts the meeting request. These meetings will show up in Outlook but they do not show up on the iPhone or in Entourage. We have OWA and if you login to OWA the appointment shows up there but if you click on it to access it, it gives you the following error message:
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error. We have deleted the accounts and reset them up on the iPhone. Our iPhones are updated to 3.1.3. Our Exchange server is 2003 (SP2). We are running Entourage 2008 and Outlook 2007 (SP2). Any ideas would be appreciated.

We also are having calendar issues. We've only got one iPhone in use, however. This particular user has software version 3.1.3, on Exchange 2003 SP2, Outlook 2003.

To add another wrinkle to the configuration, we are also hosting multiple domains on our Exchange server, and this user has an email address at each domain we host.

Is anyone aware if multiple domains could be part of the problem?

We are having the same issue with the iPhone Calendar not synching to Exchange 2003 outlook 2003/2007 consistently.

Most of the time it works fine but on some occasions the appointment does not show on the iPhone. It shows up correctly in outlook and from the small sample test we performed (1) it also showed on OWA but not on the iPhone. We are running the latest O/S on the iPhone.

Has there been any news from Mac support themselves? All I see in this forum are people with similar problems but no action form Mac support!!

    Any help would be appreciated.

I might have more info on this..

I had this issue with a couple weeks worth of appointments created from an email. Looking thru the appointments there was a graphic with a hyperlink in the sig at the bottom, I cleaned those from each appointment and now it seems to be synching them. There are still a couple that won't appear on the phone, I don't see anything different in them but most of them seemed to come over.
