If you are capturing via firewire, you're doing a digital capture with no loss. Fooling with the presets will only cause problems and possibly degrade the image.G5 Dual2.5 Gig, MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.5.6), FCP 6.0.5
The problem is that there is a prior preset for the NTSC log and capture that I had used with the old camera. Somehow I have to change it - or obliterate it. This is a new area and I am unsure. Yes, I am doing the capture with firwire (or i.link as they call it!(Intel iMac 24", MacBook, iMac G4, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
Change the easy set up to HDV and "use" whatever you are shooting in to capture.
