Q: OS9 Emulator
Hi -
I have a iMac G5 Intel and have a copy of my old G3's hard drive. I like to run the older applications because they are faster and better in some cases. I have an iMac G5 PowerPC 10.4 and it can run classic but I hate going back and forth to get files. Is there an emulator like Parallels or VMWare Fusion that works for OS9? I have tried SheepShaver but it doesn't have enough space for the applications. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm pretty sure you can create or at least add new disk images in the SheepShaver preferences. If you can create them there, you can create them in Disk Utility as a read/write disk image. Since SheepShaver may not be able to handle anything larger than 500 MB, make sure it is no larger than that. You could even just duplicate the existing drive, add the duplicate into SheepShaver and then remove the duplicate files from inside OS 9.
