All of the sudden when i try to rent a movie, "itunes is currently unavailable. Please try later" appears.
I have reset to factory settings three times and entered the itunes new code with no luck. i have synced my songs/playlists and they work. I can't rent or downlaod any movies.

can your appletv actually access the internet?
easiest test is trailers or youtube content.

also, is the appletv logged in and configured to the correct store region ?

    Same problem here.

Can access all other areas of internet (YouTube, internet radio) but nothing that uses iTunes store (PodCasts, TV, movies etc).

Just get a message saying "iTunes Store is currently unavailable. Please try later". I have done several days running but still get same message.

    Anyone fixed it?

Have you hacked or modified your ATV at all?

No, no hacking. But eventually after a couple of resets the internet services have returned. No idea what caused it.
