Mar 24, 2010 12:30 PM in response to DTCby a brody,I have seen one reference to the fact that unibody mac pros support the 12.5mm height and assume that means the original unibody macbook also, but want to verify.
Neither notebook supports larger than 9.5 mm hard drives. -
Mar 24, 2010 3:59 PM in response to DTCby GfulDedFan,I've seen evidence that the 12.5mm will fit in the Aluminum Unibody MacBooks. See [Here|http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Western%20Digital/WD7500KEVT>
I have not tried it myself. -
Mar 25, 2010 9:18 AM in response to DTCby a brody,If you have a Unibody, or a pre-unibody 17" it will fit. 15" and less with removable battery will not fit. -

Mar 29, 2010 2:15 PM in response to w4rmkby DTC,for what its worth......I also emailed the technicians at OWC (the place that had on their page that the 12.5mm 1TB WD Scorpio Blue fit in all Unibody models). They confirmed that it did indeed fit in 13" Aluminum Macbooks and that their technicians have successfully done so.
With all that said, I may just avoid the issue anyway, as now I am wondering if I am just a victim of my own drive ****. Do I really need a 1TB drive in my macbook? 640GB is probably more than enough for my macbook and its something like $60 cheaper as well....
