I have finished a large project and am in the process of gathering all the source files, spread across several disks and folders, into an archive. Every day I open three windows on my desktop in a certain way and each has a certain look. Takes me about five minutes to locate the 3 folders, size the windows, move them to the right place, minimize that side bar on the left, and set the windows to the appropriate "look" i.e columnar format, say. There must be a better way.

Can I save the appearance of my desktop to a file, so that when I double-click that file, all the windows magically re-appear in the same place, at the same size, with the same look as when I saved?
