I had just taken my ipod out of the computer and the click wheel stopped working. I had refresh my ipod several times and it still didn't work. So i decided to restore my ipod and after i went through all of that, the click wheel still wasn't working! Can anyone help me?

probably a hardware issue and it needs to be repaired, BUT.....

I read on the net somewhere that some people have had click wheel probs, so they put scotch tape over the wheel and it worked. then they bought a plastic cover guard thingy and that allowed them to use it without the tape. sounds like a long shot to me.

I have also read that some people have pushed the hold switch on and off a few times making sure they are not touching the wheel and that it is clean.

just crap I have come across.
