To make a long (and very expensive) story short, I have a 500 mhz Pismo which I improperly installed Tiger on and have had problems ever since. It finally wouldn't boot (or make any noise )at all, from any disk. There are no nearby technicians, but found one 150 miles away who said there weren't any hardware problems and got me running again, with some minor problems. However, in trying to accomplish some other things, I couldn't run Classic, and I'm back in the same quandary---no noise, no boot, no nothing. After the fact, I did put extra memory in to accommodate Tiger, but it didn't help Classic, though I could use 9.2.2. Have I finally burned up my motherboard or is there a way out of this to get it up again?
