I have a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro purchased summer 2005 that is currently running Mac OS 10.6.3. The graphics card is a Radeon X1600.

Last night, I was using the computer as usual and all of a sudden the screen became distorted with red pixels. Other colors are slightly distorted as well (blue pixels where white space is, etc.). Here is a screen capture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50224754@N05/4613121548/

I noticed upon startup there is no problem with the colors and when the desktop background first loads it looks fine for a second or two, but then the red comes back immediately.

Is my video card crapping out on me? Am I going to have to get a new computer? I was hoping to get at least another year out of this one because otherwise it works just fine.
