Totaly agree, the only way i know so far is emailing yourself the documents which is not what everyone want. I dont see the point of it. If they dont allow us to upload in some way documents to the ipad this is useless is just a big ipod touch.
If you have a MobleMe account, set up an iWork account from within your MobleMe account. Then you can quickly and easily transfer Keynote and Pages from Mac to iPad and from iPad to Mac via www.iwork.com. It works great.
I just hammered the local Apple store over this; answer is not yet. You can't open in pages a document from iDisk - - nuts!! You need to email a file to yourself then open in Ipad pages. The Doc Printer program from EuroSmartz Ltd they say might do it
Wow. I just tried the iWork.com method as opposed to the iTunes import/export method. What a difference! I don't know how this would work out for word files, but I only use iWork so I doesn't really matter... to me, at least. Highly recommend the .com method. J.
