I still own a powerbook g4 with tiger 10.4.11.
I am moderatedly happy but I have a lot of troubleshootings.
Little ones but annoying.
One of these is that when I search with spotlight (or hitting clover+F) I watch the search going on but when it looks like finished it starts over and over and I am even not able to click on a row because it changes under my click!
Anyway I gave up to use these searches but I am really angry because I don't understand why it happens. (and I have to use other sw to search my files)
I installed again my system from the scratch but after a while it happened again.
Moreover if I open the spotlight window I cannot open the info window of any file found clicking on the "i" icon on the right.
can you help me? Can you suggest some work to do?
thank you very much!

How much free disk space is there? Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you always have a minimum of 10% to 15% free disk space at all times.

Try indexing Spotlight. Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes
