I have called AppleCare a couple times to get help with TechTool Deluxe but the advisors say they don't use it, then why did I have to pay for it? I know it comes with AppleCare but what's the point?

[TechTool|http://www.micromat.com> is a third-party program, not supported by Apple. The fact that they give you a copy of TechTool Deluxe with an AppleCare subscription is nice, but doesn't change the fact that it's not Apple's product. For TechTool support, you need to contact Micromat.

Then they shouldn't put a big red apple and "AppleCare Protection Plan" on the disk.

Plus there is no support knowledge base of forums for Tech Tool Deluxe at Micromat. It's a specialized product for Apple.

If you don't like the response from Applecare on this situation, you can always submit feedback here:
