Yes - I upgraded my 16GB 3GS this morning - updated in about ten minutes and so far everything seems to be fine. Pretty snappy, no locking or freezing and apps updating to new versions perfectly. Looking forward to a Skype update though!

I like the wallpaper, spell check, multi-task, folders, character count in messaging...Too many new features to list!
Updated about 5 pm PDT today, took less than an hour. No problems and nothing missing.

    I say... Go for it!!!

The update was successful-ish. Am happy with it except for one minor detail, my car stereo built specifically for the iphone (Alpine iDA-X305) will no longer acknowledge that my phone is plugged into it. Anyone else having issues like this?

    Extremelly happy.

The update went flawlessly, took about 15 minutes and I was up and running, didnt even need to restore, everything works as it did before the update.

All in all it feels like I have a new phone, couldnt be happier.

Even the battery life is longer!

the upgrade went without problems and quickly.

Downside is the grainy pictures.. but that doesn't even come close to the battery drain issue. My battery is empty before you know it.
What happend?!? is it a problem with the install or just an OS error, i don't know. But I do know that this is not workable.

How to solve the battery drain issue?!

All good here so far. Main upgrade to iOS4 took about 30 mins. Only two things that I didn't expect was iTunes "not responding", worrying me whilst it was still actually working and doing the update (did this for about 5 mins but progress bar on phone kept moving the whole time). The other thing was re-optimizing 3000 photos which took another 40 mins. Otherwise so far so good. Everything working as advertised, recognised sim and network immediately, all contacts there, all my apps and data were there etc.

The only thing I haven't had time to test is battery life, but that might be artificially low as I keep playing around with it more than normal usage to test out iOS4 lol

Just downloaded the new update. Everything. Seems real cool but I can't find my folders to put apps in? Isn't it just supposed to pop up? ***? Where r my folders? Also how do you send gift apps?

    Upgraded..happy..
All work fine except..really, the pics are grainy i realize.
Pics in photo library (mostly downloaded pics i.e. high res) are grainy, but pics in camera roll, even downloaded ones are ok..weird..

i have the same problem with the apps. for example, IM+ do not connect anymore to any network.
even more, i can put the setting for counting the signs in sms on, but there is no change either. it does not function.
    i can't rotate photos.
with the new os 4, pictures in emails of persons in your contactlist has to be shown. --> does not function.
    no spell checking.

i don't have any advantage of the new software... is it possible to downgrade again?

Completely happy. All over in 10 min. Smooth as silk. No probs with pics, no probs with music, no probs with many apps (have to check all out), love the multitasking, love the zoom on the camera, in short love it all.

    Couple of problems
    - all my 3G network internet / mms settings got wiped - had to refill
    - the voice over does not sound clear on int'l calls. Could be the phone lines - can't tell.

Did anybody mention FM radio here & ibooks? Did I miss something? Do tell.

We have a 3G, a 3GS and an iPodTouch at home. The three were updated yesterday to iOS4. All three working perfectly. My 3GS is FANTASTIC!
