I have the same problem.
I have two computers and an iPhone and I use the iPhone as the conduit through which I keep the computers in sync. It worked for 18 months, now it doesnt. The iPhone calendar will always be replaced by the computer calendar even though I always choose merge.
What has changed in my set up over the past couple of weeks is going from 10.6.3 > 10.6.4, updating to iTunes 9.2, and getting an iPhone 4 with iOS4.
I have the same problem. I kept on thinking that I have got some setting wrong. I am glad that it is a known problem, but I wish there is a solution or a fix soon. Any idea how long will it take for someone from Apple Support to acutally provide a solution? Or are they too busy trying to fix the bugs on the new iPhones?!
Success!! I know a lot of people still have problem with the whole calendar syncing problem, but I am happy to say that I finally got my situation resolved. I upgraded the iTunes on both my work and home computers (PCs running Win7) to iTunes 10. I also updated my 3GS phone to the iOS 4.1. It just so happened that I upgraded my work computer to Outlook 2010. And I now am able to sync my calendar between my work and home computers again!
Since I made various changes to my device and computeres, not sure which part of the equation made things work. But there is hope yet for those of you still struggling to get everything working again! Good luck!
