If so iTunes is very fussy about MP3 files and will not play some files which play OK with other players.
MP3Validator may help with this:
It is best try this on copies of your files.compaq presario iPod 20GB iTunes 18.104.22.168, Windows XP, SP3

The thing is those files used to play fin in previous versions of iTunes. I don't understand why they would randomly not work in iTunes anymore.PC, Windows XP
Currently Being ModeratedJun 25, 2010 12:56 AM (in response to ZlatanIbraca)I am having the same issue. Whole albums (some purchased from the iTunes Store) no longer play or even have artwork anymore. Some are in MP3 format others in M4A.
I've tried creating a new user and launching iTunes from there and the problem persists. Tried trashing the prefs...nothing.Mac Pro 2 x 2.66GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon, Mac OS X (10.4.7)
Currently Being ModeratedJun 30, 2010 6:44 AM (in response to ZlatanIbraca)I have the same problem, replacing the songs(adding them again) didnt work, itunes doesn't report any errors or missing files. At first it worked fine, but now not anymore.. Is this a problem with the update, because more people experience this? I hope someone can help me out here or fix a new update maybe?

Currently Being ModeratedJun 30, 2010 6:55 AM (in response to joselien)I am having the exact same issue, only since upgrading. The current version of iTunes also seems to disallow editing of the Genre field.Dell Latitude D610, Windows XP
Currently Being ModeratedJul 2, 2010 8:15 PM (in response to ZlatanIbraca)I'm also having a similar issue. I just recently upgraded to iTunes 9.2, and since then no songs will playback in iTunes. The slider at the top of the iTunes window looks like it's playing something, but there is no audio coming from my speakers.
After confirming that my Quicktime settings and speakers' audio drivers are current and functional, the only conclusion is that something is wrong with iTunes 9.2. All of my music plays normally in Windows Media Player, but will not play back in iTunes anymore.
Has anyone found a fix for this issue?

Currently Being ModeratedJul 2, 2010 8:55 PM (in response to ZlatanIbraca)To solve my audio playback issue in iTunes 9.2, I had to recreate the Library.xml file by following the instructions below:

Currently Being ModeratedJul 4, 2010 2:20 PM (in response to ~mareet~)I tried this solution and it would appear that when the library was recreated the files that previously would not play were no longer visible in iTunes. I tried manually importing them and they still won't play. Does anyone have any other solutions for this?iMac 24", MacBook Pro Unibody 17", MacBook Pro 15", MacBook Air, iPad, iPhone 3G, Mac OS X (10.6.4)
