Currently Being ModeratedJul 5, 2010 12:05 PM (in response to new iPhone 4 owner)It seems to be a bug. I have a similar problem and have posted on a number of threads about it. Hopefully a fix will be released soon.Intel iMac 17", Mac OS X (10.4.10)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 7, 2010 5:53 PM (in response to new iPhone 4 owner)The same thing happened to me, except that it deleted every event and every calendar except for Home and Work, which were both left empty, and left only Birthdays. When I first synced, it merged correctly, but after one or two more syncs, everything vanished from both iCal and my phone. I'm holding off on syncing again until the next iPhone update.Dual G5, Mac OS X (10.4.8), MacBook Pro

Got my first iPhone (4) a few days ago, and have been trying to sync my calendars and contacts ever since. Thought this was going to be a whole lot more straightforward.
All entries appear double on my iPhone if I opt to use both calendars: 'all from My Mac' & 'All @mac.com' ('Show all Calendars'), and certain info disappears when I opt for one or the other. Why don't the two calendars simply sync into one?
If it's better to opt for one calendar which one? I'm syncing over MobileMe and over iTunes. Anyone help with this?
Also, some birthdays from address book don't appear on my iPhone and I have to enter them manually as an event, even though the Birthday calendar option is active.macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iPhone 4.0.2
Currently Being ModeratedAug 31, 2010 7:14 AM (in response to new iPhone 4 owner)Same problem. The content on the computer iCal over writes the content on the iPhone. Apple needs to fix this ASAP. I don't even know if Apple realizes they have a problem.G4, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Currently Being ModeratedAug 31, 2010 11:47 AM (in response to TelephoneMan)I have an @mac account.
I merged my calendars, things seem ok now.
This is what I did, hope it helps:
1. go to: iphone settings> mail,contacts,calendars> @mac.com
2. turn off calendars
3. wait a couple of minutes
4. turn calendars back on, and chose 'merge' when asked.
Good Luck!macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.5.5)
