Jul 8, 2010 11:32 AM in response to inCologneby bund,It is possible run your tangerine iBook with a DVD drive, but you won't be able to play DVD movies because the 300mhz/4MB video combination is too slow.
Easy: buy an original DVD drive from a 466Mhz Clamshell
harder: Dismantle the original drive and replace it with a dvd drive (which should be internally jumpered as master), glue the old bezel to the new drive.

If you have an internal DVD drive you will be able to install OSX 10.4 via Xpostfacto. -
