Q: Monitor died for G3 Power Mac tower. What do I do?

The monitor to my G3 PowerMac just died. The power button started flashing orange and green and it won't power up.

Is there anything I can do to fix it?

If not..are there any other modern monitors that are compatible or is there a chord that can make it compatible to another monitor?

Have you tried unplugging the monitor for a few minutes? Then power it on and reboot.

I am not sure what the alternating green/orange flashes mean. What type of monitor do you have? What is the make and model?

Also, what model of PowerMac G3? Is it a Blue & White, beige desktop, beige minitower? What type of video card are you using? I am guessing from your post that you do not have another monitor to test with to rule out an issue with your computer.

Be sure to reset the PRAM and/or replace the 3.6 Volt 1/2AA sized battery or run without the battery for testing purposes before you decide the problem is in the monitor.
