I want to put several songs on the slideshow, but not the whole song! I would like to break up the song and just use certain parts of the song. Is this possible?

There is software that allows this, but I cannot find it for apple.

Thanks

If Garageband doesn't do the trick for you the free audio editor, Audacity, certainly will. I use Amadeus Pro.

Or make the slideshow in an app lke iMovie, PhotoToMovie or FInal Cut which will allow you to manipulate the soundtrack too.

Terence's response reminded me of another option which is what I use. If you have iLife 06 use iMovie 6 HD which is much better, IMO, than the current version. V6 allows you to add multiple audio tracks, crop to your specs, fade in and out, modify volume at specific points.

So if you have iLife 06 give iMovie 6 HD a try.
