Aug 2, 2010 9:21 PM in response to kiantatby Allan Sampson,I have no touch screen problem when my iPhone is on a flat surface or at any time.
I've installed the Zagg invisible shield front and back on my iPhone 4 and there is no sensitivity issues anywhere.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty. -
Aug 2, 2010 10:33 PM in response to Allan Sampsonby kiantat, thanks for the info.
however when i plug in the USB cable to charge. everything becomes alright.
This is strange. Time to bring down to Comcentre to do a check. -
Aug 3, 2010 3:48 AM in response to kiantatby Iamtheone,Like Steve would say, just lay it down differently. LOL -
Aug 3, 2010 4:43 AM in response to kiantatby RabanJr,Same thing happened to me. It could be in my pocket all day and no problem. Lay it down on a table for ten minutes and dead. I would have to reset the phone to start it back up.
Took it to apple and they gladly exchanged it for another one. Said that something was corrupt.
Long story short. Take it back.
Good luck -
Aug 3, 2010 6:13 AM in response to RabanJrby supedaj,I have the same problem. BUT it seems to only happen when I have it connected via a non apple charger. Scrolling through contacts and it just goes haywire - if i pick a contact it randomly picks another. If I then click on 'All contacts' it then thinks I've pressed the number and starts dialling! eek!
Anyone else seen this?
NOTE : This is only when charging via non apple charger and lying on a flat surface by the way.
If I was to return it for an exchange, what would happen with my invisishield which I have on all 6 sides? Any ideas? Thanks -

Does this non-Apple charger include the "made for iPhone" certification on the packaging and product documentation? Does the same occur with the Apple charger? If no to both, you wasted your money. If I was to return it for an exchange, what would happen with my invisishield which I have on all 6 sides? Any ideas? Thanks
You will be purchasing and installing another invisishield. Apple's warranty does not include/cover 3rd party products. -
Aug 3, 2010 6:58 AM in response to Allan Sampsonby supedaj,no to both. However, I was previously using the non apple charger to charge my ipod nano (2nd gen). It still charges the iphone fine - but i'm not sure behaving in this. Could thAt be the charger or the iPhone?
As for the Zagg, I know Apple wouldnt provide this or refund for it. Just wondering whether Zagg would replace one if it was included with a faulty iPhone back to Apple?

Aug 3, 2010 6:56 AM in response to supedajby Dave Hutch,Yes! I'm so glad I read this!
I thought it was the fact that I'd normally just eaten lunch and had mayonnaise on my fingers
I have a "Spiderpodium" and if i use it with one hand, with a non-Apple charging lead, the thing goes mental!
Take it out of the holder and use two hands though and all goes back to normal.
It's an earthing issue because if I only hold it using just the glass back, the thing goes haywire...touch the metal band around the iP4 and everything is fine again -
Aug 3, 2010 7:01 AM in response to Dave Hutchby supedaj,so - would you say its a problem then?
Surely it should be able to function while laying flat on a surface?
(Granted it does that whilst not charging but I would assume it would allow the ability to use it whilst charging on my desk) -

It could be both. If a 3rd party product does not include the "made for iPhone" certification on the packaging and product documentation, you are taking a chance. The "made for iPhone" certification is for a reason and means something. It doesn't matter if used with a 2nd generation iPod Nano and it worked with the iPhone. The 2G iPad Nano is not an iPhone and the charger does not include the "made for iPhone" certification. As for the Zagg, I know Apple wouldnt provide this or refund for it. Just wondering whether Zagg would replace one if it was included with a faulty iPhone back to Apple?
Probably not, but contact Zagg. -
Aug 3, 2010 7:08 AM in response to supedajby Dave Hutch,I had a chance to test it with an Apple charger cable and everything works correctly. it's down to the cheap cable I bought from Amazon.
EXTRA INFO!!! Using an Apple cable, all my pictures and videos show up in XP File Explorer. Using the non Apple cable nothing shows

Aug 3, 2010 6:28 PM in response to kiantatby kiantat,I went down to SingTel Comcentre and have made an 1-for-1 exchange.
They insists no problem to the phone at first but I insist they do a test on another IPHONE4 to show and no such problem occurs.
Note to all IPHONE4 user: Always insists a thorough checks. -
Aug 3, 2010 6:53 PM in response to Dave Hutchby rbrylawski,So the moral of this story clearly is take two aspirins, always wear your seatbelt, don't smoke, or quit if you do, don't touch live electrical wires, look both ways before you cross the street, avoid high caloric foods, actually walk inside the gym, not by it and most importantly.....don't use a non-apple charger with your iPhone.......
