I have an iPhone 3GS with IOS4. My husband's name is Kevin but I always call him Kev for short. Autocorrect constantly changes this to keV. I have tried about 50 times in a row to hit the "x" to help it to learn that's not what I want, but it won't change. I have also gone in and reset my dictionary, as well as going to Safari, typing "Kev" in the Google search box, and tapping the "x" there as well. None of these things have worked. Any other suggestions?

I've got the exact same problem with the same word . Any help out there? Ipad doesn't seem to learn the same way my iPhone did.

Honestly this issue is very annoying. It works exactly the same also in italian. "sarà" (will be) is automatically corrected in "Sara" (name). "papà" (dad) is changed into "Papa" (Pope).. I've tried to reset the dictionary and to use the notepad to make Iphone to "learn" words I want to use.. But it's all useless

    Auto predictive text on iPhone4

Have you solved the problem? I have the exact same problem: iPhone tries to enforce words on me which I once wrote in my mother tongue (Afrikaans) which happened to be at the start of a sentence, and now it keeps on suggesting the same words, but with capital first letter.

I've reset the keyboard dictionary, but it doesn't help. I've tried typing the same word again and again and again to teach iPhone's dictionary, but to no avail.

    Can someone please help?
