This should be sorted out, Apple should provide descent and fair coverage of updates for all of its users, not just some of them. What a shame I say.Dell, Windows Vista
Currently Being ModeratedAug 22, 2010 2:22 PM (in response to iCandi)Hi,
has anyone experienced any issues with the auto brightness feature since the latest update (4.0.2)?
Since I upgraded, the unit doesn't adjust the brightness by itself, at all.
Anyone else had/getting this?ipod touch 64gb (3rd gen), iOS 4
i've noticed that all my photos i painstakingly named to appear on my ipod in a certain order are now all jumbled (ive several files that previously scrolling through them animated a short sequence, but now the time spent on that is pointless)
ive noticed my ipod doesnt alter its brightness
ive also noticed (though it may not be related) i can no longer change the volume unless i go into the 'settings' part.
dont really care about the wallpaper bit
i'd restore to factory settings but i dont want to lose all the info on my apps. wish i could go back to the previous version of the software - ive updated twice now. the second update was necessary for some of my apps to work - so im either going to have to live with a really bad upgrade (what a waste of hours!) or say bye to a fair few apps.
*really really unhappy about my photos. what is the order based on anyway? is it when the file was created*?
wish i could have hit 'undo' when it was downloading it, but there were warnings everywhere saying not to interrupt it.
might upgrade to a sony mp4 player.
the ipod doesnt even make a good paperweight.Mac, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
ah, I had an instance where the ipod locked up whilst in phtos
I was viewing one image and I couldn't do anything (rotate, resize, move to another photo by swiping, or close the photo to return to the photos menu/folders)
All I could do was press the home button to get out.
The only issue I now seem to have is that the auto-brightness is b0rked - I can manually change it from the menu but that is, as we know, a right royal painipod touch 64gb (3rd gen), iOS 4

Currently Being ModeratedSep 7, 2010 8:56 AM (in response to TheLuckiest)I am having the same issues with this. I am an administrator on my network and use my touch to ping and do other various tasks over the network. But now it will not allow me to input my credentials to get onto the network.
Please helpDell, Windows 7
Add me to the list of users affected by the updates. Since 4.02 I have to charge my iPod at least twice a day, it's slow to respond, and I'm frequently kicked out of my apps. (In June, the Apple Store replaced my original iPod after the 4.0 update caused it to become stuck in Restore Mode).
I did however, find a temporary solution to the battery life (found somewhere on the net). Changing the following settings has helped me..
Settings> General> Location Services > Changed to OFF
Settings> Notifications > OFF
This may have already been mentioned, but I didn't see it in the last page or so...32GB iPod Touch, 2nd Generation, Windows 7
