Hi, I run two identical BENQ LED monitors (G2222HDL) on my Mac Pro with OS 10.6.4. They both work fine, but I can not set them to the same resolution.

The main monitor (BenQG2222HDL) I can set to 1680 x 1050 (This should be 1920 x 1050, but the screen gets cut off at the sides.) but the secondary monitor (bizarrely identified as VGA monitor and not as BenQG2222HDL) I can only set to 1400 x 1050. There is no option to set the secondary monitor to the same resolution. It displays up to 2304 x 1728, but no 1680 x 1050. The resolutions all differ from the main monitor.

Info also gives them different names:

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT:

Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 2600
Type: GPU
Bus: PCIe
Slot: Slot-1
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 256 MB
Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x9588
Revision ID: 0x0000
ROM Revision: 113-B1480A-252
EFI Driver Version: 01.00.252

Displays:
BenQG2222HDL:
Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Rotation: Supported

VGA Display:
Resolution: 1400 x 1050 @ 60 Hz
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Rotation: Supported

BENQ told me to update the graphics card, but surely the Mac Pro should be able to handle this?

Is there a way to get both monitors to display the same resolution? Ideally 1920 x 1050, as the manual says they should be, but I'll settle for 1680 x 1050, if that's easier.

Any suggestions anyone?
