After the update yesterday, I opened my IPhone calendar to find that the colors were muted with a 'faded' look. The bright colors that previously appeared on my phone/mobileme have changed dramatically.

The change is not subtle and is very unattractive.

Note: The colors for each calendar are correct- they have just faded drastically. All other colors on my phone remain crisp.

Anyone else with this problem?
IPhone 4, iOS 4, IOS 4.1

I noticed this too and assumed that it was linked to the re-branding/re-skinning of iTunes. They seem to have gone all pastel on us! I can live with it personally and over time it will be "normal" as I get used to it

    +1

I just noticed this today, and could not understand what happened. I agree, the colors are awful and hard to see.. this is very un-Apple. I don't like it, please use pure colors!

There's also a bug in 4.1 calendar. When you switch to list view there is nothing there. Switch to day or month, then switch to list view and its back. Already reported to Apple.

The colours now are horrible. You just get used to something being one way for 2 years, then they go and screw it up. It wouldn't be so bad if I could pick my own slightly less disgusting colours, but it just randomly assigns them. This one is getting a complaint back to Apple, form me. I hope the millions of other iPhone users do the same. After all, Steve said he loves his customers and wants to keep us happy.

Oh, and it took 4 tried to download the update. Thats 2GB of my data I'll never get back this month.

Personally, I like the change. Less intrusive and still able to see the different colours without too much inconvenience.

Change is good in one's life.

As for the changing of views from list-day-month, no problems for me.

I agree that change is good when it's a GOOD change. But this is awful. If they had gone from these butt ugly ones to the old nice looking ones, THAT would have been good.

What is the best method of registering a complaint?

The best method of registering a complaint? Well that would be to throw your iPhone through Steve Jobs' window smeared in faeces....

The colours now match iCal, which is why I assume they did it.
The colours have been mentioned all over the Internet so it shouldn't come as a surprise.
The list view being empty is also mentioned in this forum

Sorry but the colours do NOT match iCal. My colours used to be solid but now are pastel. My main calendar is a horrible pastel purple while in iCal the colour is dark blue.

However what I did discover was that it is not the case if you setup a new iPhone. I bought a new iPhone for the wife and when syncing the calendars, the colours where as before - solid colours.

I also have the issue of nothing showing when in list view until you switch back to day or month and then back to list.

count me in. faded color as well. not a fan. clear, bold colors is what reading a calendar is all about not pastels. plus, have you tried to read the colors in bright sunlight. bring back the true colors please.....also my list and calendars need to be re-checked each time i visit the list view. i smell a bug here.....
