Every morning I switch my Mac Pro on it reboots after a few mins either that or greay or black screen, after that it is fine, and will hapily work all day with no further problem..

Any suggestions what this might be?

Mine did something similar a while back. Try a fresh OS install (on an extra hd) that's updated along with pram/scm reset. That's what did the trick for mine.
