Q: Use DVD drive of Imac for Powerbook through firewire

I have a Powerbook with an inoperative DVD drive. I would like to use the drive from my imac through firewire to install Leopard on the Powerbook. How is this done?
Thanks.

Connect them with a FireWire cable and start up one machine with the T key held down. Consider the following when choosing which computer to start up into FireWire Target Disk mode:

    1. Some older Macs don't allow access to the optical drive when put in this mode.
    2. An installation initiated from an Intel Mac will refuse to install on a PowerPC Mac.
    3. An installation using a computer's original disks will only work if initiated from and installed onto the Mac the disks were designed for.
