Where is your computer's backup for all important data, which should include your iTunes library, or did you lose all data on your old computer?

I am having the same problem. I had my iTunes library on a hard drive with Time Machine backup on another external drive. I replaced the computer and Time Machine wanted to do a complete backup. When ALMOST finished the initial hard drive completely crashed. Is there any way to transfer what is on the iPhone to the new computer, and then have it properly sync?

As least you won't have to worry anywhere near as much about someone stealing your Windows PC over a MacBook or MacBook Pro.

iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store only.

First you need to authorize your PC with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

Photos that are transferred from your computer to your iPhone are optimized for viewing on your iPhone as part of the iTunes sync/transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced on your iPhone, which is why Apple doesn't support transferring these photos in the opposite direction. There are some 3rd party utilities that provide for transferring these photos in the opposite direction which aren't supported by Apple, and you will lose the original resolution of these photos in the process.
