Q: Looking for an older firmware (iPod_25.1.2.3.ipsw) for iPod Video 5.5G

Hi everyone,

My iPod Video 5.5G suffers from random stuttering when playing music. The songs play fine on my computer, so I know it's something about my iPod. I was looking for different versions of firmware to try to see if it was a firmware issue. I've been using the most up-to-date (v1.3) firmware. I would like to try version 1.2.3, which was the version immediately before 1.3. I haven't been able to find any download links to it within Apple's website or with numerous Google searches.

Does anybody have any suggestions where I might be able to download a copy of the original firmware file?

My understanding is that the file is named "iPod_25.1.2.3.ipsw". I've seen references to v1.2.1, but I really would like v1.2.3. Thanks for any help.
