Q: Crashing on import

When I import audio I get the rainbow ball of death and then after 5 minutes Waveburner tells me my audio needs to be converted "to a standard audio file." I am using 44 16 .wav and aiff files so I don't see what the problem is. It then converts my 44 16 .aiff file to a.... 44 16 .aiff file.

In the past my workflow has been woking fine. Out of nowhere it is giving me this problem.

I figured it out. If your audio file doesn't have an extension in its name, waveburner freaks out. I can't believe this as every other app on the mac and that comes with Logic Studio has no problem doing this. Without the .aiff or .wav waveburner hangs for 5 minutes to decipher it.
