If you wish to run iTunes in a language that is not the default for the country that you are living in (and therefore paying from), the iTunes helpdesk point to this article. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2242 . This article indicates that the iTunes store should pick up the language you have assigned to your MAC, however this is incorrect. iTunes picks up the language from the country you designate you are paying from.

You can change the country by using the flag button at the extreme bottom of the iTunes home page, however this will allow you to find the things you want, but you must change it back to actually purchase the content.

If you think, as I do, that this is a fault with their system, the ONLY option you have is to complain to their helpdesk, email address iTunesStoreSupport@apple.com. If you ask to have the e-mail referred to Ashley, maybe the sheer weight of complaints will get this sorted.

Dam it, is there STILL no solution to be able to have the iTunes store in English? I see it's STILL pointless bothering with iTunes...

If Switzerland can be in three different languages, British English, German and French, then I'm dam sure the Dutch one can have English included, what's up with these silly people, English is an International language for christs sake!

Apple just does not seem to bother, or they are Microsofting themselves and thinking that the customers don't know what they are talking about.

It is the same everywhere else, and it is not the display. The display language can be chosen, but the store language is locked to the country. I hate every time Apple talks to me in German, where I am living at the moment.

My temporary solution is buying alternatives, most music from amazon.

After contacting Apple support on this mater they said that the Dutch store is not in English as that language is not widely spoken in they Netherlands - I replied back to saw that around 80% of the population speak English and around 20% don't speak Dutch.

They said it would help if people made their comments at this URL; http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

I live in Korea, and it's the same thing here. I can choose English, but as soon as I login, it changes everything to Korean!

I'll add my frustration here also.
Especially that you read in Apple's support page that changing the language is just "so simple".

I need the English language in my iTunes Store.

Just adding myself to the long list of people with the same issue. I'm an expat in Germany and the iTunes store is only available in German

I had the same issue with my iTunes and was able to fix mine. I hope this helps:

I recently spent some time Germany and England. While in both locations I updated my iTunes. Lo and behold the language changed from English to German. I tried everything I can think of to fix it. Uninstalled, reinstalled, changed language settings, followed online directions, all of it. Well I finally got it to work and it was sad how I had missed it. On the main page of the iTunes Store located at the bottom right of the page there is a country flag symbol. All I had to do was change it to the UK setting and later the US setting when I got back stateside. Surprisingly it worked. I closed iTunes and reopened it and it's still there. This may not help you but it worth a try.

That's not the problem. If your store account is Dutch, you get Dutch language only, even if you don't speak the language. Apple used to support International English (up until version 7 or so?) but then suddenly through out the choice.

It litters wrong languages all over your library. It makes it hard to buy anything. It doesn't respect it's own application language guidelines. It's incredibly annoying.

    That's the problem.
