Is there any reason Apple cannot move iTunes to the clouds (i.e., online, to my Mobile Me account). This would allow the following:

1. Free up a lot of my computer hard drive space.

2. Never worry about back-ups or losing music.

3. Sync or change playlists of iPod Touch without a computer.

4. Have access to my music library across machines (iPod Touch, iPad, MackBook Pro).

This seems like a natural for Apple.

Apple may move iTunes to the cloud at some point in the future. However, this forum is not for speculating about Apple's unreleased products-- it is for solving problems with Mac, iTunes, etc.
MacBook 2.13GHz (mid 2009), Seagate Freeagent Desk 500GB, Hitachi 320GB,, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iPod Touch 8GB, iPod Nano 16GB (and other assorted gadgets)

Check this news article from October 8: Apple again pushes iTunes subscriptions, attempts to block Spotify.
