If you are a MobileMe member, you can easily publish your photos (and video clips) directly from iPhoto to your MobileMe Gallery, for friends and family to enjoy.
To publish a MobileMe Gallery album:
Select the photos or video clips you want to publish.
You can also select an entire Event or album.
Click the Share button in the toolbar, and then choose MobileMe from the pop-up menu.
Select the album to add the photos to (or select New Album and type a name for the album).
Choose who can view your published album from the “Album Viewable by” pop-up menu:
Everyone: Publishes the album as a public site. Anyone who has the website address can view the album.
Only me: Limits viewers to you alone. The album doesn’t appear on your Gallery homepage.
Edit Names and Passwords: Allows you to require a password or to limit viewing to certain people or groups. In the window that appears, enter one or more user names and passwords. The user names will then appear in the “Album Viewable by” pop-up menu.
The published album associated with a particular person or group is listed next to the user name and password.
Select additional publishing options:
Allow downloading of photos or entire album: Allows viewers to download photos from your published album, or the entire album, to their computer.
Allow uploading of photos via web browser: Allows viewers to upload photos to your published album.
Allow adding of photos via email: Allows you or others to send photos to your published album from a mobile phone, other mobile device, or computer.
Show photo titles: Displays your photo titles in the published album.
Show email address for uploading photos: Displays an email address on your published album, where viewers can email photos to upload to your album. (This option is available only if you select “Allow adding of photos via email.”)
If you want, you can click the Show Advanced button for additional options:
Hide album on my Gallery page: Makes your album visible only at its own website address (which you can give to friends and family), but not from your Gallery homepage.
Download quality: Sets the resolution (size) of the photo or photos you’re publishing. (If this checkbox is dimmed, select the “Allow downloading” option, above.)
Optimized: Allows the fastest publishing with high quality. This size can be used to print photos up to 16 by 20 inches.
Actual Size: Publishes the photo at the same resolution as the original. This size is usually larger and may take longer to upload to your Gallery.
If your published album contains a large number of photos, it can take several minutes to publish. To view your published album, click your MobileMe account in the Source list (below Web), and then double-click the album.MBP, iBook G4, iMac G5, iMac Al C2D, MacBook Pro,iPod, iPhone, iHooked, Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Currently Being ModeratedNov 10, 2010 12:27 PM (in response to MacMiner)Evidently the drag and drop capability has been removed. We now need to copy and past photos from the library into the MMe albums after they have been opened by clicking on the cloud icon under Web and then on the gallery at the right.
The copy can be done by right-clicking on the photo or using the Edit ➙ Copy menu option.3Ghz iMac, 4G RAM, 1TB HD; MBP 2.16 Ghz 2G RAM; 1.5TB/160GB HDs;, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Canon:i850/8600F, Epson R280; 4G Nano, 30G Video iPod; iPad 3G

I'm really disappointed and confused why this so-called "upgrade" actually reduced the functionality of the application.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

From mobile me I have opened the entire album and dont see that option and I have also been at the key photo page. In both instances I don't see how to "tell a friend" when I go to share it will send an email of the content of the file, and some of these are HUGE. I just want to send the link like i used to be able to.iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5)
Currently Being ModeratedDec 26, 2010 5:15 AM (in response to jbmccormick1966)I believe the "Tell A Friend" is on the mobile me gallery page. We are wondering how you share the link from Iphoto. If I share the link from the mobile me gallery, I have to manually input all the email addresses, whereas in the past doing it from mobile me, it linked to your imail, thus linking to your contacts/groups.....Macbook Aluminum 2.0, Mac OS X (10.5.6)
Currently Being ModeratedDec 26, 2010 3:08 PM (in response to MacMiner)The new workflow is not cut-and-paste, though that certainly works.
Try this... Highlight the photos you want to publish, click the Share button, choose MobileMe, then choose the album (instead of new album).
While drag-n-drop is a time-tested method of moving objects and I don't quite understand the purpose of removing it, I do like this new method. You don't have to worry about the left navigation bar (if you have a lot of projects or albums, that can get cumbersome) and it's always the same (new album vs. add to existing).24in iMac - 2.4Ghz, Mac OS X (10.6.5), 4GB RAM / ATV2 / iPad / iPhone 3GS, 4

Then you get a pane opening on the right where you have a 'Tell a friend' button.
This is rather clumsy compared to the old simple button at the bottom of the window. I hope Apple will move that to a more obvious place again soon.MacBook Pro 17', Mac OS X (10.6.5)
Currently Being ModeratedDec 30, 2010 1:52 PM (in response to Oliver Latsch)Ahh, I see it there. I guess I'll take it, although you are right, the older version was MUCH better! I have found that the groups I have created (in this instance, "Family" containing SEVERAL family members email address) does not come up.. So I am emailing it to myself and then forwarding it to my family using Imail. What a pain!Macbook Aluminum 2.0, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

I don't see the same thing. The information button (a small "i") is in the lower left hand corner of the window, and when I click on it there is no "Tell a Friend" button.
I cut and pasted the link to the album in my mobile me gallery that I want to share, and emailed it to a friend. He clicked on a link and got sent to a page asking him to download a mobile me app or enter his mobile me information. He entered his information and it still didn't work.
I'd love to share this album, but can't figure out how to do it. It's ridiculous to email every photo. Can anyone describe what I should do?
