This isn't acceptable Apple. People in the real world do not have time to go running around getting firmware updates or in my case, have to take the car back to the dealership to get the radio updated because you have changed something. You need to look at what you have changed and change it back or allow us to roll back these updatesimac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Iphone 3GS running IOS 4.1

Currently Being ModeratedNov 24, 2010 6:44 AM (in response to Fantinfint)I had the same problem although my iPhone is a 3GS - it wouldn't play music on my Alpine system in the car but since yesterday's software update (4.2) it is working fine, so this may work for you as well.iOS 4
Currently Being ModeratedNov 25, 2010 4:52 AM (in response to sb1165)Since iOS 4.2.1, car integration is broken on Podcast support.
Phone : iPhone 4, iOS 4.2.1, iTunes 10.1
Car : Audi A4 09/2010 with Audi Multimedia Interface
Before iSO 4.2.1, i had a smart playlist with podcast episodes not played yet. Worked as expected in my car.
Now, with 4.2.1, if I donwload an episode for iTunes on the iPhone, the playlist says it is empty when displayed in AMI.
On my car screen, if i go to the podcast list, podcasts with new items are displayed as "Unknown" and keep loading. Then, if I unplug the iPhone from the car, the smart playlist says it is empty. But I can see the new episodes as unplayed in iPod app.iMac 2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo 21" + iMac 1.83Ghz Core Duo 17", Mac OS X (10.5.8), iPhone 4 16GB Black + iPhone 3G 16GB Black + iPhone 2G 8BG Alu

I had no problem with my previous 3gs. I have deleted all phones from the system, successfully re-paired the 3gs, deleted the 3gs, successfully re-paired the 4, and, after turning the vehicle off, then back on again, the connection will not complete. The connection is recognized by both the vehicle and the phone but it will not complete the linking process. I can delete everything and then the phone will re-pair successfully but as soon as the vehicle is turned off, then back on again, the same problem recurs.
My Cadillac dealership has no information on this problem, nor does General Motors customer help. Very frustrating problem attributable, by my evidence at least, directly to the iPhone 4's lack of compatibility.iPhone 4, iOS 4

I have a 2008 Ford Focus with the SYNC iPod connectivity. I have the latest SYNC software update installed in my car.
Twice now while playing songs via the USB connection with SYNC, my phone has suddenly dropped into recovery mode when it finishes playing a playlist.
Can anyone offer a solution ? It is really annoying having to restore my phone all the time !iPhone 3G, iOS 4, Running OS v.4.2.1

Did you find anything that worked ? I have the same set up and can not find an interface cord either. I have the Iphone 32gs, and the Jensen MSR 3007. I've looked and called just about everywhere. Any help would be appreciated !

PROBLEM IPHONE 3gs VERSION os 4.3.2 - ARKAMYS (in Renault Scenic) SOLVED !
On the following link from Renault you'll find an update of the firmware of Arkamys and also installation instructions. Version 2.12 is replaced by version 2.30. It works now fine again. After a long time it's possible again to connect my iphone to the Arkamys by using the usb-connection and to display/scroll through artist, albums, playlists, etc.
