Hi all,

I recently upgraded to the new ical and this created an ical account in the left menu bar of ical which copied all the previous calendars.

I deleted this, not thinking that it was needed.

I realized however, that this is the calendar that I would need to use from within the browser at work.

I have added an new CalDAV calendar in ical but this is not syncing correctly.

How do I set up my calendars in ical so that they sync again in a browser?

Cheers,

Steve

    still no luck here.

I've reset using the sync in the system preferences and I've tried deleting the calDAV and setting up another automatic calendar.

At the moment I have calendars in ical which are working independently of the calendars on mobileme and want to sync these.

    Cheers,

    update:

Got in touch with Apple and here's the outcome.

The 'OM MY MAC' calendar is independent of the MobileMe calendar in ical and the MobileMe syncs with the online calendar.

There is no way of syncing the 'OM MY MAC' calendar with MobileMe calendar in ical so if I enter an event in the 'OM MY MAC' calendar I have to recreate/copy this to the MobileMe calendar.

Previous to one of the recent updates, I entered one event in ical and this synced online.

    Cheers,

Hey Steve, thanks for posting your questions and then answering them, too! I found about it the same way, for the most part. I'm not really liking this new version of doing things. I understand it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Before the "new" method, all I did was enter an event in my ical, and it would show up online, and on my touch. Now, I have to first "select" @mobileme, and then start a new event.

If there was a way to have ical launch with @mobileme the default calendar, than this would solve my situation. I can't figure out what the point of having "On My Mac" calendars is. I do know that you can publish "On My Mac" calendars online, but I don't use that. I just want my calendars to be synced, my computer, my touch, and @mobileme. Now I just have to make an extra step.......

OK, just found a work around. If you close the triangles to "On My Mac", and "Mobileme", when iCal is launched, xxx@me.com becomes highlighted and is ready for input.

Still don't like this new setup though

    Hi Tom,

no probs. Not liking it either - I just want to add an event and have this synced, and not have to think whether I put this in the right calendar for MobileMe.

Thanks for the tip though. This will solve my problem also, and I'll use this only and leave the 'ON MY MAC' calendars alone.

    Cheers,

    Steve
