After that go to My Computer ---> iPod touch (what you name it) open it and you will see your photos and/ or videos you recorded (4th gen only.

I think Amacsoft iPod to PC transfer works really great, we just need 2 steps to transfer music from iPod to PC. Have a try, wish it help!

You can also use iPubsoft iPod to Computer Transfer if you want to copy your pictures, movies, music, etc. to your PC! I just benefited from it when i wanted to copy photos from iPod to PC!
