Yes we are in Myanmar and have 6 devices and none of them work on the alarm, that is iphone 4 3GS and ipod touch, they do work on a recurring alarm and you can also use the timer to count down to your wake up time.
We are flying balloons in Myanmar and 3 of our pilots failed to be woken by our alarms, luckily a couple did wake up or our passengers would not have pilots to do their sunrise flights
Hope for a solution sooni phone 4

I wondered if it was a date thing and tried a few dates, Jan 1 and 2 don't work but Jan 3 one off alarms work again...go figure.
Maybe Steve wanted us to sleep in on the first weekend of the year?! hmm

What a way to start off the year. Thanks, APPLE.iOS 4

What compensation will Apple offer for those of us unfortunately enough to be working this morning 1st Jan, and 2 hours late to work?

I almost late to my work Today, thanks to my old phone which rang (I've backup alarm on it).
I confirm if I set alarms on repeating, they set on.

Currently Being ModeratedJan 1, 2011 1:17 AM (in response to Lijith)As a fellow computer programmer, allow me to congratulate all related Apple folks for this unexpectedly surprising muse of a feature.
As an iPhone4 user who paid Apple a tonload of money to buy their product,
and relied on their product to catch a health appointment somewhere in Europe on 8am on this January 1, 2011,
and missed that appointment due to the said feature,
allow me to express my disgust and disdain. For it is tiny, unbelievable instances like this that pinpoint what incompetence and decadence is really about.
Hopefully, Mr. Jobs will not be missing any appointments this morning, if he were to have any. Thanks to the far-out west time zone he is likely in, unlike me he is probably already aware not to rely on his iPhone4 for alarms in the following couple of days.
Happy New Year with wishes for good health and well-being to all,

Currently Being ModeratedJan 1, 2011 1:31 AM (in response to Lijith)Hi, I saw this software bug on iOS 4.2.1 in the following way
1. The calendar app on main screen stayed as 'Friday 31'
2. When you selected the calendar app, the time/date showed correctly within the app
3. When you exited the calendar app, it showed the wrong date still ie 'Friday 31' as a icon
Cheers bIphone4, iOS 4, 4.2.1

Does that mean you will compensate businesses and individuals for lost wages or production? No apple of course you won't what a joke never buying an iphone again!!!iOS 4
