Q: Custom Signature

I've regularly seen "custom" signatures by some of the regulars - handwriting, bouncing smileys, moving tiger, etc - and decided I'd like to have one. So, I designed one yesterday and, as a test, added it to a post. When I checked about 20 minutes later, it had disappeared; instead, it is showing a large grey lock:

So, is it permitted to have a signature or not? Mine was my name in a fancy multi-colored font with shadow. Or is there a minimum age/points/whatever required?

Nope, much too dignified. Not nearly enough grovelling.

It's already very impressive; lol, I can barely imagine what this thread will look like in two more weeks!

Of course, it wouldn't occur to you that the post might have actually been stating facts..... I won't comment on that though until LS 'fesses up

    +Just plain ole Ralph+

Creating an appropriate custom sig for you would be easy keeping in mind your own words: grey on grey, else it might be too ostentatious....

IMO (not that you asked!) the Blue on Grey is the nicest, but lose the guano dropping to the right of signature!

I did ask! And your comment is appreciated except for the last part: excuse me, but that is a stylized flower (actually the same image as the white on blue; it just looks different in blue).

They are all equally pointless, intrusive and distracting pieces of visual pollution which waste space and will do nothing whatsoever to add practical value to your posts.

Less a flower, more a SPLAT!

    (Regardless of background colour).

    Try a better flower image.

If that new signature of yours is in any way indicative of what you do, you'll be much too tired to read this in two weeks...

Thank you for the reality check. I agree up to a point; however, as long as they are not tacky, jumping or moving, or using up half a page, adding a personal touch is a nice touch.

adding a personal touch is a nice touch.

Although regarded by some as an ego trip.

    +grey on grey+

I am NOT grey, that is Platinum Blonde, must be a color calibration issue.

    Hi Barbara,

I like the red wave one.

I think it looks more like a Sig and less like Logo.

Of the more logo-ish ones I prefer the Blue on light.

Is that the same Zapfino Font ? Barbara I see that it is.

What Makes the little "Flower" thingy ?
It is a another Font's character ? If so what Font and which Key ?
