Currently Being ModeratedFeb 10, 2011 4:01 PM (in response to ChazinCT)port 9100 is called HP Jetdirect-socket on OS X. So Add the printer with IP > HP Jetdirect and enter the IP address (don't enter the 9100 anywhere - OS X does that automatically).

I have the same issue with my HP LJ 2200 on a Belkin F1UP0301 print server. I can print directly with the USB cable to the printer but not via my wireless network. I can ping the printer fine and I checked the print server port config is using port 515. please help.

port 515 means protocol IP > LPD. LPD is specified to have a unique queue name (sometimes called port name). Page 31 of the belkin manual says that USB port #1 has queue name of "lp1" and USB port #2 has queue name of "lp2." Make sure you enter the appropriate queue name when you add the printer.
If you were to use IP > HP jetdirect, USB #1 = 9100 and USB #2 = 9101.

YES! Works! Thank You! I keep putting Ip1 for my printer on USB#1 on the queue instead of 9100 and didn't select "HP jetdirect socket" and keep trying between LPD and IPP!
